- Beyond Compare - compare files and directories (and more)
- Maro Recorder - cheap record / playback tool
- Top tools - useful for web testing and gui testing
- ExamDiff - visual file comparison
- Camtasia - create videos of screenshots
- HyperCam - inexpensive alternative to Camtasia
- Windows Media Encoder - free alternative to Camtasia and Hypercam
- Fiddler - analyze http traffic to / from your browser
- MSSoapT3 - analyze traffic between web services
- Unix ps command for looking at processor information
- Unix top command for looking at ongoing cpu utilization
